600-700 guest photos risk getting lost across chats and expired links. A QR on the tables collects them all in high quality, with no app: where to put it and how to make it work.
Why couples lose guest photos
The day after the wedding, every couple discovers the same thing: the best photos were taken by someone else. The cousin who caught your entrance, the friend in the front row at the bouquet toss, the witnesses who filmed the speeches. Those photos exist. Getting them to you is the problem.
Asking around fails for three simple reasons:
- Photos end up in ten different chats, each holding a different piece of the story.
- WhatsApp and social media compress images: what you receive is not printable.
- Shared folder links expire or nobody opens them after a week.
With 80 guests taking 8-10 photos each, that is 600-700 shots you may never see.
The fix: a QR code on the tables
A QR code printed on the seating chart, place cards or a bar sign. Guests scan it and upload from their phone browser: no app to install, no account to create. Photos arrive in original high quality, uncompressed.
Where to put it: on the seating chart everyone looks at on arrival, on the tables next to place cards, at the bar where candid moments happen, in the ceremony booklet.
And have the DJ or witnesses announce it: "photograph everything and upload here, tonight we watch it projected". A spoken invitation beats ten signs.
Moderation and live slideshow
Every photo should pass the couple's approval before appearing in the shared gallery. Approved photos can run projected during the reception: photos from ten minutes ago on the big screen is the moment guests remember.
Scunio Wedding includes an unlimited QR gallery inside the wedding website: nothing for guests to install, your moderation, reception slideshow and high-quality downloads.
